Liquidation.com Review – Is Liquidation.com a Legit Site or Scam?

Liquidation.com Review – Is Liquidation.com a Legit Site or Scam?

Liquidation.com is a totally different kind of auction site. While most auction sites offer new or used items for bid, this website offers lots of items for auction. This site has up for auction everything from clothing to electronics. Everything is auctioned off in lots. While the reviews show that there are some good deals to be had at Liquidation.com, most people still prefer using a service like Auctionresource.org for finding good deals online.

The description according to the Liquidation.com website is as follows:

More than 6,500 clients, including Fortune 1000 retailers, manufacturers and government agencies

Completion of more than $4.3 Billion in Gross Merchandise Volume

Over 3.8 million completed transactions across 500 asset categories

Leading industry vertical sales channels with more than 2.4 million buyers

Offices in locations across North America, Europe, and Asia

Liquidation.com Reviews - Buying Lots of Items

Some of the lots are 2 items while some are pallets of items. This site is a great way to get into the retail resale business. There are different categories that are used to describe the condition of the item(s) that you are bidding on. It seems that this is a pretty upfront site.

Some of the categories are “new” “used” “shelf pulls” “salvage” “returns” “refurbished”.  The only category that is clearly not meant for the public is “salvage” because typically the items are not functional and can only be used for parts. The Liquidation.com site states salvage condition as:
Salvage assets have been identified as defective for reasons concerning their functionality, appearance, or both. Salvage assets usually can only be used for parts.

Liquidation.com Review - Registration

Registration is free. You are not charged any money unless you win the auction you are bidding on. Registration is quick and easy and there are not a lot of invasive questions. Sellers go through a verification process just to make sure that the environment is as safe as possible.  You will usually receive a response confirming your membership within 24 to 72 business hours.

The Inventory

There is a lot of inventory on this site. An eclectic bunch of inventory like jewelry (costume), clothing, electronics and other items. The inventory was quite interesting and really could offer someone a great opportunity for resale. The inventory is auctioned off for a preset amount of time. The highest bid at the end of the auction is the winner. There is no additional time added to the auction when it is done it is done and the winner is announced.

I liked the condition rating because it lets you know right up front what you are bidding on. I also liked that the sellers rating is displayed when you hover over the sellers name.

Another feature that helps find the items you want is the search bar. You can use the search box to find auctions by keyword, product category, location, lot size, condition, or shipping option. Another good option is to use search agents, which are product searches that you create based on the specific criteria you indicate. If matching results occur, you will be emailed with the matching results twice a week.

The Site

Liquidation.com is easy to get around. The information that you need is readily available at the top of the landing page. You do not have to hunt around for answers to your questions everything that you need is right there at the top of the landing page.

While he site does not have a lot of flash it is a comprehensive site that seems to offer honest evaluations of products that are up for auction.

I liked this site and would recommend it. The information is honest. There are plenty of products to choose from and the prices seemed more than fair on the winning items. This site is not for everyone because you cannot bid on individual items but for those that resell it is a great opportunity.

Overall, the Liquidation.com reviews show this to be a legit site and not a scam as there aren’t many complaints to be found. However most people still prefer using a service like Auctionresource.org for finding great deals online.
